Founded in 1991, LSESU NHSF Hindu Society aims to raise awareness of Hinduism by promoting, practising and protecting the Hindu faith. We do this by holding events throughout the year ranging from projects to feed the homeless to talks help students learn about God and what it means to be Hindu. We also hold multiple joint events with other universities, Hindu celebrations (Diwali, Garba) and many more!
Being winners of the Gold Stars Award in 2017/18 and 2016/17 and Silver Stars Award in 2015/16 and 2013/14 presents us as one of the most involved, dynamic and accessible religious societies available at LSE. We have a huge national network within NHSF, allowing for exciting collaborative events with other universities such as London Zone Navratri, Holi and our flagship Maharaja Ball. We are also excited to introduce the inaugural Diwali Ball. Our collaboration with NHSF also allows us to compete in multiple sports including Football, Kabaddi, Badminton, Kho and Netball – for all of which we have teams and weekly training sessions.
With such an active and popular society and a breadth of unique opportunities, how can you not get involved?
